Living in a Dream - or Living in a Movie?

I'm opening my eyes. I'm opening my mind. I'm now a Citizen of the World. Italy, Scotland and California have given - and are still giving me - the chance to see the World from other points of view; Points of view made of different smiles, ideas, religions and values. Simply amazing to learn how to deal with all of that.

Disneyland - Sixteen Years Back in the Past

With Geppetto
OMG - I had a blast! I felt like a 4-years old girl for 14 hours!
I saw the same exact things that I saw with my parents 16 years ago - at DisneyWorld, Paris. That was
pretty emotional. When I saw the Dumbo's attraction I immediately related it with my mom: I still clearly remember that I wanted to fly as higher as possible..whereas she kept trying to keep me calm - and low(=_=) - because she was scared!

Peter Pan's attraction was the most magic one: Despite it wasn't my first time, I really enjoyed it. From London to Neverland...AW:)

Hollywood - Where Everything's Possible

I am probably not the first - and I won't be last - person to associate "Hollywood" with "Everything Possible". Today I spent a great day in the city of colors, creativity, entertainment, and movies; The place where I'd like to work!  After experiencing the emotion of the Black Friday (I found everything but those things I was looking for -.-) and after a quick touch at Bevery Hills (gorgeous), we finally head to the City of Cinema!

As regular and anonymous tourists, we started our tour from The Walk of Fame. Useless to say that my first goal was to find Johnny Depp's star. Haha, I definitely felt like a teenager looking for her hero. Embarrassing, but I couldn't help it. We got til the Cinese Theater and there we saw all the famous hands and feet: I can't hide the fact that I was literally shivering when I found HIS place! Afterwards we looked for a good view of the Hollywood sign - sooo damn tourist, I KNOW! - and we finally drove til the Paramount studio.

I got so excited as soon as I saw it. The area where it's set is massive, the main entrance was huge, and I could see so many different stages from outside. Well, my mind started wondering about my future. Working for a movie industry would be my dream, and this is one of the main reasons that led me to decide to study in California. The entertainment field is here so diverse and dynamic, active and inspiring. Working in such area would mean the accomplishment of a dream, the resulf of sacrifices and a lot of study. I really wish I'll manage to get an internship before the end of the academic year. Chances are low, but..As I said before, in Hollywood Everything's Possible. Fingers crossed :)

From the Lighthouse to the Turkey

Today was such a busy day. In the late morning the girls and I went to visit the coast of LA (jeez, I want to live in one of those houses facing the Ocean!) and got til Linzy's favourite lighthouse. The weather was awesome and the landscape was gorgeous. Around noon we went back home to get ready for Thanksgiving celebration.

And what can I say? We left around 1.30pm and just got back!(1.15am). I'm happy to say that I survived to one of my biggest dinners ever! Wow! The American Thanksgiving is simply amazing. Apart from the great food - omg, i love chocolate pies - I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the house. I could actually smell Love. Well, Turkey and Love;) Everybody was so happy to see each other again, and they were all so curious to know more about those "three strangers"! Useless to say that everytime I introduced myself the reaction was "what!?Ca..Car..what?"..haha..yeah, I cannot hide my Italian roots. But it was nice to tell them about my new Scottish side :)

We started eating around 5pm and we kept going til about 10pm...yeah, I feel like I'm gonna be fine for three days in terms of food haha;)
I had such a great time and I'm really grateful for all this. I'm surrounded by amazing people, I'm such a blessed. Thanks Linzy for giving me this chance :)

Brief update: Black Friday in a few hours, and then....HOLLYWOOD!!!

Thanksgiving in Los Angeles, CA

The Crew

Yesterday my friends and I got to LA, ready to spend our first Thanksgiving ever with Linzy's family. The forecasts about that are simply amazing. Our plan for today is to go to the beach for a wee while, and then to head to Linzy's house - ready to eat as there was no tomorrow!
On the way to LA
I didn't know this before, but Thanksgiving is here considered as important as Christmas. I'm pretty excited to share this moment with an American family.

We are going to spend the whole Friday around the downtown LA and Hollywood - something that I've always dreamt to do! - and... yeah, I want to be honest: in the morning, Sarah and I are gonna be among all those crazy people ready to exploit the Black Friday. Well, it happens just once a year. We cannot miss it ;)
LA City Lights

Saturday will be the "Back to the Past" day: Disneyland! We have already got the tickets and we are all craving to go. Especially Cat ;)
I'm personally impatient to see the famous castle... the Sleeping Beauty's castle! Aww, she has always been the princess I wanted to be...damn Disney, you raised WAY TOO MUCH my expectations of life/men/relationships/dreams!HA!

..On Sunday we'll finally get ready to drive back to San Jose. We already "hella" miss the Bay Area;)
