Living in a Dream - or Living in a Movie?

I'm opening my eyes. I'm opening my mind. I'm now a Citizen of the World. Italy, Scotland and California have given - and are still giving me - the chance to see the World from other points of view; Points of view made of different smiles, ideas, religions and values. Simply amazing to learn how to deal with all of that.

Day 3: South Dakota and Nebraska

I’m happy to say that the night spent in the hotel in Rapid City refreshed all of us.
Nothing to do with the sleepless night between the 1st and the 2nd day!
So, we left the hotel around 9am and we headed to Mount Rushmore

The ride was not really long and fortunately there was not even too much snow, despite the night before it was snowing pretty hard. We’ve also been lucky because the weather was really nice!
We arrived to the site and…we saw it! Ah, it was very emotional seeing it in person! It’s HUGE! The four “stoned” American presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln were looking at us 

After visiting the museum and talking with a lovely American-Irish-Scottish guard who kindly explained to us –for 30 minutes =_= - everything about the national parks in the United States. Yeaaah.
After that, we started a long drive to Omaha, Nebraska. 11 hours drive also today! During our journey we also went through the Badlands, South Dakota. The scenery was great, shame it was really brief though. It looked like a moony landscape! Before getting to Nebraska we crossed the Iowa border too !
Traveling along so many different states is great for the simple reason that you can discover the main differences among them simply watching outside your window  The feeling is awesome 
We are now in Omaha, capital of Nebraska. We found a place to sleep thanks to CouchSurfing.com (check it out, it’s a website to find free places to sleep for a couple of nights or something like that ;)) and the atmosphere here is really nice.
In the meantime, we are planning our day for tomorrow: We’ll visit Kansas City (Kansas), and we’ll get to St. Louis (Missouri) in the evening.
…it’s getting more and more exciting!
